Hi All,

I updated my Arpicade 3.11 a while back, with the update to add Final Burn Neo in place of Final Burn Alpha.

All working well so far, however im having an issue which I believe comes down to a 'clone' rom?

So for example, want to play RaidenJ.zip (Raiden Japanese version). It is considered to sit under parent raiden.zip world set.

Arpicade is picking up raiden.zip (world set), but it wont pick up raidenj.zip (japanese set)

I have the 'non merged' romset for Final Burn Neo - which means it does not require the parent rom file so to speak, but in contrast, raidenj.zip will contain all the files required to play the game independently as non merged - rather than having just the extra files that make it different, if that makes sense.

When I use the non merged raidenj.zip file, without normal world set 'raiden.zip' in the rom directory, on Final Burn Neo on the PC - Raiden Japan loads and works fine as the japanese set individually

On Arpicade however, it doesnt find it at all in the romscan at all.

When I add raiden.zip back into the directory on both pc and arpicade, it finds the 'world set' in arpicade and can play that particular version fine, but still does not list the Japanese version

The PC version in contrast will have World set as a parent and also shows the Japanese version as a clone - and either play fine. And of course, if i delete the parent set of raiden.zip and leave the nonmerged rom of raidenj.zip on the PC version, it can play independently as mentioned.

Im not sure whats behind the scenes, but is there any way to fix this for arpicade version of fbneo specifically?
(I can 'read only' the hidden partition on the SD card. It appears the gamelist.txt has raidenj.zip in there too for fbNeo, but fbnext gamelist doesnt list it which was the previous emulator - is it possible arpicades fbneo is looking at the wrong gamelist.txt?)

thanks heaps

very likely it just isn't in the fbneo reference list used by the rom scanner.  See /boot/[firmware/]launchers/aml/fba.aml - with it added to the rom scanner it will show up in your list.

Alternately if you have raiden in your game list with it highlighted in the menu press 'e' on keyboard and change the rom to raidenj (assuming you don't want both versions in your list).  Added manually in this style it would be overwritten the next time you scan your roms.

Spot on

Aml file . Edited it in notepad++

Copied the previous line and added it underneath the other world set raiden
Edited the newly added line to raidenj and changed "world set" to Japan , left all the other details untouched and saved it
Rescanned on bootup and its there!

Thanks dylan!!!!
