System 2 is now playing nearly perfect...

IREM M92 - Graphical improvements (shadows, etc)... Ninja Baseball Bat Man ... Gunforce ... In the Hunt ... Etc.

NAMCO System 23 improvements.

TMNT 2 Platform improvements (certainly could use this for my 4P cab).

FWIW GroovyMAME is still at .277 with Calamity (the author) busy doing other stuff it may be a little while before he gets .278 and .279 running...

I'll keep an eye out.

I would be very surprisesd if Model 2 was full speed on Pi using MAME but the various other improvements sound worth the efffort of upgrading.  Hopefully the performance is as good as 275 for everything else and 279 can replace it or something, having one MAME that works for 90+% of games is nice.

vf2 runs at about 50% speed in GroovyMAME 0.279 on Pi5.
time crisis 2 20% ish (no surprise there either, TC1 runs between 70 and 100)
from a quick look performance seems similar to 275 - I don't think the Irem and Konami changes will be an issue, but haven't tested.
I need to box patch and recompile...

GroovyMAME 275 to 279 upgrade:
completely replaces GroovyMAME 0.275 with GroovyMAME 0.279. Auto copies your existing ROMs, NVRAM and cfg files from 275 to 279 - if you don't want it to copy the NVRAM and cfg files comment out those 2 lines in the update script.
Note: GroovyMAME 0.275 is removed entirely.

Also the update system now has a progress bar.
It installs like an ARpiCADE update, will clean itself up and reboot automatically when done.
