This is a two part question.  Are there different models of the RPI Jamma for different models of RPi or will any work with the RPi Jamma board?  My original is using a RPi 3 B+ which was the best there was at the time.  I just picked up another RPi Jamma board second hand and it appears to be brand new, never used.  I need to get a new RPi to pair with that one and I am not sure where to go this time around.  The first one is going into a dedicated Dragons Lair 2 cab and will strictly run a very small Daphne rom list.  The Pi3 B+ works just fine for that.

I am sure I could get another Pi3 B+ and I could run classics just fine.  I have a gutted and restored, empty XMen cabinet that is going to house the other RPi Jamma adapter with a 3-4 Player adapter and I plan to use to to run 3/4 player games exclusively.  I am also not opposed to add some newer 4 player console games to the mix.  Is it worth going up to a RPi5 so I can run things like PS3 games on the 4 player cabinet.  I really have no idea at this point what games beyond classic arcades are worth running in this machine and if they even emulate well.  If the RPi5 is the way to go then I also how much ram is recommended to run these games?  I see the Pi5 runs 1,2,4,8,16 GB of ram with the price rising accordingly all the way up to $350.

I have no issues buying the 16GB for this if that is what I need but I don't care to overspend on the hardware for one that I will never utilize the ram enough to see any difference.  So please school me on Pi3B+, Pi4, Pi5 and what improvements im getting with the hardware AND Arpicade with the faster processor and more ram.
