In the cab if the green LED on the Pi5 is blinking can you describe it at all?  It should be some sort of combination of long and short flashes.

I'm not convinced it's a hardware issue.  If you would like to troubleshoot it we may be able to figure it out, you haven't answered any of my diagnostic questions, making it hard for me to help further.

I can't think of any reason any issue with the RaspberryJAMMA hardware would cause the ARpiCADE software to look for a M.2pcie hat.  That's a weird one I'd like to understand better, if anything it makes me think you could have an issue with the RPi itself as it may actually look for an M.2 (neither RaspberryJAMMA or ARpiCADE does any looking for an M.2).

The pi itself works flawlessly.. if i just plug an hdmi cable
In and hook it to a tv.. runs fine..

Here is why im saying its andapter failure:

1.) pi works not hooked up to the adapter
2.) a real street fighter jamma board in the cabinet - works fine..

When I first got the adapter- i plugged it into the pi, having the pi powered by usb off the wall.. and then plugged into the jamma harness  i used to get a redlight/power on the pi.

Since there wasnt instructions i had the pi powered up via usb-c as well as the +5v hooked to the cabinet psu-> jamma harness > arpicade adapter - still a redlight on the pi

When i learned it was one or the other i removed tbe pi from The wall outlet using just the +5v from jamma harness - still a redlight light on pi.

Removed +5v from jamma harness, plugged pi into wall, and then into arpicade, to jamma harness and it ran flawlessly for about 4 hours while i reconfigured the buttons etc for some of the games..

I powered off the arcade using the cabinet switch a few times due to locked up roms.. and everything worked fine.. for a few hours.

I then turned off the power to everything via power strip so that i could move and mount the arpicade in the cabinet, and once i powered it back on.. nothing going through the arpicade.. pi would power on but nothing to the jamma harness..

Tested the pi on hmdi worked fine.. checked voltage on the jamma harness all fine..

I took the arpicade out and started testing it.. there are 3 resistors that have no reading, and two of the caps - same..

I ordered a brand new arpicade last night while i wait for replacement resistors and caps to get here.. im going to swap the parts and see if i can get some kind of response from the current arpicade..
