Taito Type X is mixed, a lot of the earlier games are very playable on Pi5, some are glitchy in one way or another.  The later ones Type X2 etc are not fast enough (except SSF4AE which is missing backgrounds), the notes in this thread are pretty much still relevant.

I'm not sure re. PCSX2x6 but I'm keen to give it a go.

Awesome! Hopefully PCSX2x6 works out great on the RPi5.

I forgot to mention one other rare case. A couple of years ago, the Capcom vs. Tatsunoko PCB files (not wii version) were dumped, and someone made a special fork of the Dolphin emulator just for this game specifically. I hope this works on the RPi5! It runs great on PC, and I use a bat file to launch it directly without going into the menu.  The game also support 4:3 and can enable via in-game service mode.

I breifly looked into that a while back, may have only been on Windows at the time or something... I can't remember offhand but I don't think I ever ran it on a Pi.  I'll add it to the list of things to attempt on Pi5, certainly worth adding if it's possible.  Even the regular Dolphin could be worth adding, last I checked it ran some stuff fullspeed on Pi5 (maybe only GC games though).
