OK, I need some help as I cant figure this out. When the GRS SW FY is plugged into a USB port it is seen as JOY1 (js0?), this causes the joysticks to be bumped from JOY1 to Joy 3 and Joy2 to Joy4 and it breaks the way ArPiCade hotkeys are supposed to work, the GRS SW FY acts as JOY1 (js0?) and lets you select games, etc. but no buttons work, cant credit up a game, cant select thru games using joysticks, nothing. If you unplug the GRS SW FY then ArPiCAde reverts back to the original JOY1 and Joy2 and everything works great using the JOY1 joystick as intended. Is there a way to force the GRS SW FY out of the way? Make it be seen as JOY3 or JOY4? I have no clue how to achieve this.. Please can anyone help?

@cool_factor I think I've made progress on this, but only in newer MAME versions (0.251+) on ARpiCADE_5 v2.  Care to test it with your yoke?

This is a new default ctrlr file:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qLCDi85H1KPcrwZcTZ0CZodkpv4bYN36/view?usp=sharing
unzip and copy it to /home/pi/.mame275/ctrlr/, /home/pi/.mame274/ctrlr/ and /home/pi/.mame/ctrlr

hopefully this keeps the JAMMA inputs player 1 and player 2, at least for those 3 MAME versions.  Unfortunately it didn't work in 172, I think 172 may be older than the new SDLGame input system as it seems to only use SDLJoy.

EDIT: if you're avoiding Paragon I can write an update installer for it if you need.

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Chips? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then. One day. I got in.

UPDATE:

FINALLY had time to update both my cabs, including the one with this controller. VERY happy to announce that it works PERFECTLY now. No more wiring hacks/switches/timers like I had to use before to make it sometimes work. THANKS for figuring this out Dee2er!
