When I picked this cabinet up,  it was converted to an NBA Jam and was in pretty much "routed" shape.  I knew going in that it was a Konami cabinet... but I wasn't sure (based on the craigslist photos) what,  exactly,  it was.

It turned out to be an early edition Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cabinet...

Cool.  I was hoping for an X-Men or something like that,  but it is what it is.  The TMNT art package is very... 1980's.  That is for sure.  To be honest... before I started the project I wasn't much of a fan.  Since completing,  it's grown on me.  The funky way the young lady is standing on the side (is she disabled or something?)... the hair... the mix of real and animation... tasty.

I picked up a full art package but without the button locations set on the CP... I wanted 3 buttons (on hindsight I should have gone with 4 or 5).  After stripping and cleaning the cabinet (always a chore removing old vinyl),  I installed everything and I have to admit... it looks pretty kickass...

As for what it's running... it's running an early version of the v4 software on a Pi4.  I am considering upgrading it to a Pi5 eventually ... but it's not a priority being that it plays the games installed on it just fine.

I put together a custom splash and modified my Opacity Wide attract-mode displays for the cause (I think I said "custom front end in the video below... I meant custom front end layout)....

At the end of the day,  I am quite happy with how it turned out.
