I play a lot of mahjong on actual hardware, and there are loads more i'd love to play on emulation. Has any one successful tried on the arpicade? Even though a mahjong control panel connects to a mahjong PCB via a jamma connector, the pin outs are completely different. Is it a matter of making an adapter? I wonder how that could work?

Edit. I'm beginning to think the answer might be to get an i-pac and use that to plug the control panel into usb ...

You could make a wiring adaptor to suit JAMMA, but there is no handling for outputs (I assume they're for some sort of indicator lamp control?) if that makes any difference to your plans.

I have it working now, not quite how I intended but it's working.

I bought an i-pac, and although I had intended to wire it up using the same 5IN and 6OUT matrixes, via the original 5x3 connector, it didn't work.

What I had to do in the end I literally daisy chained 20 ground pins to the ipac, then individually connected the 20 buttons to player 1 and player 2 SW1-8 and other switches. Then I redefined all the keys within mame.

Not the most elegant way, but at least it works if anyone wants to try this one day.
